Beaches Turks and Caicos Review
Is Beaches Turks and Caicos the best family resort?
I’ve traveled to the Caribbean over 150 times, and we send thousands of clients to family-friendly resorts every year. This is an honest Beaches Turks and Caicos Review, using our wealth of knowledge to compare with other family hotel options. The photos in this post are a mix of my own and the ones supplied by the hotel. (When we visit, we are too busy having FUN with our kids to take many photos!)
What was my first impression of Beaches Turks & Caicos? This hotel is consistently ranked as the best family-friendly resort in the Caribbean. However, upon my initial arrival, it wasn’t immediately clear why this was the case. The grounds were beautiful, and the front desk staff were friendly, but having visited many top-rated family resorts, I was curious to discover what sets this place apart.
What is the best room at Beaches Turks and Caicos?
Beaches Turks and Caicos has over a dozen room categories, some of which are more modern and fresh than others. If your budget allows, it’s best to choose one of the recently updated rooms. All accommodations are comfortable and cater to different preferences, whether you are looking for a serene beachfront suite like the Seaside Village or a more family-oriented space in the Italian Village.
Beaches Turks and Caicos is divided into four villages: The Caribbean & Seaside, which are combined as one, the Italian Village, Key West Village, and the French Village. Here’s what I like about each:
CARIBBEAN + SEASIDE VILLAGE: The Seaside Village is closer to the ocean than the Caribbean Village and offers more beautiful views. My favorite room on the property is located in this section. It is the Seaside Two Bedroom Luxury Butler Villa Suite.
ITALIAN VILLAGE: If you prefer to be in the center of the action, this is the village for you. It’s located right next to the resort’s main pool, so you’re only steps away from activities at any time of day.
KEY WEST VILLAGE: This village is quiet and serene, perfect for larger families who want to stay in the same room. You’ll find 1 to 4-bedroom villas here, some of which are beachfront with private pools.
FRENCH VILLAGE: The French Village has the most affordable rooms, and if budget is your main concern, then this is the village for you.
How Many Restaurants does Beaches Turks and Caicos Have?
Beaches Turks and Caicos boasts 20 restaurants, 21 if you count the food trucks. Translation – even the pickiest eaters will have access to a wide range of delicious food options available throughout the property. However, it is important to note that every all-inclusive resort in the world has some limitations when it comes to culinary offerings due to the large size of these resorts. Despite this, Beaches Turks & Caicos has an impressive selection of restaurants, featuring diverse cuisines that are often a highlight of guests’ stays. Whether you’re in the mood for a gourmet meal or a casual bite by the beach, the quality and variety of options are impressive.
As a self-professed foodie, I was initially apprehensive about the quality of the food. HOWEVER. However. however – I’m a foodie, and my kids are foodies-in-training and there were very few complaints. We did not embark on this trip as a “culinary vacation” but we all we all walked away very satisfied. In no particular order, our favorite meals from the week are listed below. (There are so many more great meals than I could fit in my Beaches Turks and Caicos review! This resort checks all the boxes for culinary variety for an all-inclusive resort.)
What to Eat at Beaches Turks and Caicos?
Pop-Up Sushi Bar at Bayside for Lunch – Bayside is not as crowded for lunch as it is for breakfast. It’s located in the Key West Village. We would get heaping plates of sushi and dine in the shade of the adjacent pool cabana.
The Desserts at The Cricketers Pub – kids are not allowed in the pub after 10 PM. No problem – you can order anything from any restaurant “to go.” And so we would. After dinner and after enjoying the nightly entertainment, we would order all 3 of the delicious desserts and take them back to our room for a midnight snack. (3 words – sticky toffee pudding.)
Every Made-to-Order Pasta at Mario’s – We went multiple times and mixed it up. The kids love ordering a new noodle shape each visit and pairing it with a delicious, rich, and creamy sauce. Sit outside, next to the railing, and you’ll have one of the best views of the evening entertainment taking place around the pool.
Dinner for Adults at Sky – this recommendation is less about the menu and more about the ambiance. Only adults are allowed to dine at Sky – which sits on the second level of Bayside restaurant, and you are dining under the stars. It’s quiet and peaceful, and when you’ve had enough of Sesame Street, this is where you go to hide away for the evening.
Any Mac and Cheese from the Mr. Mac Food Truck – it was HOT when we visited in June. Even for summer in the Caribbean, the temps were soaring so I was surprised that this hot, steamy, creamy, cheesy to-go eatery was my kid’s top request for lunch. But it was. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I indulged too! Best M & C ever!
What’s Included at Beaches Turks and Caicos?
I think the best answer to this question is what’s not included? The Sandals Resorts and Beaches brands are known for being the all-inclusive resorts with the most inclusions. You can read a full list on their website, but I’ll touch on a few that were super popular with my family:
Any trip to Turks and Caicos will be focused on the water. My kids are beach babies – having spent almost every summer break and holiday on the sand. They will usually enjoy a resort pool for only a few hours. That changed at Beaches Turks and Caicos. Let me explain why… the pools are open 24/7. So when the sun sets, and the beach is off-limits, my kids love extending their active day by moving over to the pool. Their favorite thing was heading to the pool after dinner for an hour or two, then ordering all three desserts from The Pub to devour before crashing. What to know more about what’s included than what I’ve covered in this Beaches Turks & Caicos review? Contact us for a custom planning process.
The other items that made their favorites list also revolved around water… the younger two spent hours at the waterpark, and both commented how it was better than Disney World. The older kids could not get enough of the complimentary water sports offered at Beaches Turks and Caicos. They would kayak, paddleboard, Hobie cat, on repeat… for hours every day! It was neat to watch them learn to work together to stay afloat and not get carried out to sea.
The resort publishes the week’s activity schedule every Sunday, so be sure to ask for a copy at check-in so you can plan accordingly. It includes daily + nightly options. The entertainment team does an incredible job of keeping everyone engaged with nightly shows, themed parties, and live music.
“Beaches Resorts offer Luxury Included® Vacations where kids and grownups alike can do as much – or as little – as they want. “
What’s the Best Thing About Beaches Turks and Caicos?
The vibe at Beaches Turks and Caicos is that everyone is welcome, and there is something for everyone. You’ll see guests partaking in every activity available on property and some who spend all-day in the shade of a beach cabana with a good book. The guests are a mix of clients who saved for years to visit and families who might normally stay at a Four Seasons or St. Regis but they want the convenience of a family-friendly all-inclusive resort.
Does Beaches Turks and Caicos have a spa?
Beaches Turks & Caicos probably isn’t on any wellness travel list, but the wellness benefits are prominent. There is something to be said for a weeklong vacation where you spend very little energy making decisions. Most parents arrive suffering from decision fatigue simply from their normal day-to-day life. Beaches Turks and Caicos has everything you’d want in a family vacation so the toughest decision is usually – beach or pool?
Of course, there is a spa. There are two outposts of Beaches/Sandals Resorts signature Red Lane Spas. They offer mommy + me treatments, and I gave my spot to my oldest daughter, who accompanied my youngest. They had the best sister bonding time!

FINAL THOUGHTS // I would really need 3 blog posts to cover all there is to do at Beaches Turks and Caicos! I didn’t even touch on half of what is offered. It’s because of those inclusions that I now understand why this resort has always been ranked the top family-friendly resort in the Caribbean.
Where else do you have a 12-mile beach lapped by clear turquoise waters and 10 impressive pools in addition to dozens of activities and 21 restaurant options?
When Beaches says they are for everyone, they mean it! The hotel is Autism Certified and has “Beaches Buddies” available for hire to give mom & dad a break. There are kids clubs for kids from ages 6 weeks to 17.
My team and I would love to share our personal travel experiences with you and help you plan a memorable Caribbean Family Vacation.
Cheers,
Laura Sangster
