ISLAND
GRENADA HOTELS
We always suggest a Grenada vacation to clients looking for that perfect mix of eco-adventure, beautiful beaches, and incredible cuisine because Grenada has all three. The mountainous terrain provides for fantastic hiking and the island’s 15 waterfalls provide a sweet reward at the end of your trek. Is there anything better than lingering in a cool waterfall on a tropical island?
Grenada has over 40 beaches. Most are pure white sand, but you can indulge in a rare treat and enjoy the darker volcanic sand found on a few beaches including Black Bay Beach. The contrast of deep turquoise water against dark sand is uniquely beautiful.
No visit to the island is complete without exploring the spice scene. Grenada is dubbed “The Spice Island” because of the abundance of locally grown aromatics. These spices are evident in the rich flavors of the local cuisine. A stroll through the lively and colorful spice markets of St. George, the capital city, just to inhale, is a must. This is also a great place to buy gifts for friends and family back home.
Our favorite Grenada Hotels are smaller, more intimate boutique hotels, but there are a few larger, all-inclusive resorts that made it on our list too! With more opportunities for adventure in Grenada, than other islands, choosing the right hotel for relaxing is very important.
The island nation of Grenada includes the two smaller islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Both can be reached by high-speed ferry and make for the perfect island-hopping day trip, something your Caribbean Journey Travel Agent can arrange for you!
