Bolt
House
Surrounded by 50 acres of landscaped lawn, fruit trees, and lush,
untouched tropical forest, Bolt House is nestled on a hill overlooking
Port Maria's beautiful blue harbor on the island of Jamaica, with
its exotic plantations, hidden waterfalls, and exclusive golf
courses. Augmenting this secluded, six-bedroom, private home is
a one-bedroom cottage at Goldeneye, where Bolt House's guests
have access to the lagoon as well as James Bond Beach, among others,
offering a full complement of water activities.
Located on the northern shore, Bolt House is central to many of
the historical estates — still accessible — that defined
an era, including Noel Coward's Firefly, Erroll Flynn's Port Antonio,
and Bob Marley's Nine Miles. And during the '50s and '60s, it
played a significant role in the social life of the island, hosting
such luminaries as Charlie Chaplin and the Queen Mother of England.
Today, it is an exclusive private property, with a full-time staff,
offering exquisite views of the Caribbean, fine dining, and a
complete array of water sports.
